Payment & insurance
Countryside Estates is Medicare and Medicaid certified, and we work with a range of payment options. Coverage varies by individual, so please call admissions to verify what applies to you.
Medicare
Original Medicare Part A can cover a skilled nursing stay when you had a qualifying inpatient hospital stay of at least 3 days (time under “observation” does not count) and you need skilled nursing or therapy every day. It covers up to 100 days per benefit period: days 1–20 at $0, and days 21–100 with a daily coinsurance of $217 in 2026. Medicare does not pay for long-term custodial care. Medicare Advantage plans set their own rules, so call admissions and we will check your plan.
Medicaid
Oklahoma’s Medicaid program, SoonerCare, run by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, can pay for long-term nursing facility care. Eligibility is decided by Oklahoma Human Services (OKDHS) based on medical need, income and assets, including a 5-year look-back on transfers. Call admissions with questions about Medicaid and your situation.
Private Pay
Private-pay arrangements are welcome for residents and families who prefer them. Call admissions to discuss options and verify the details for your situation.
Long-Term Care Insurance
Many long-term care insurance policies help cover skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. Call admissions and we'll help you verify what your policy covers.
VA & Veteran Benefits
We provide dedicated care for U.S. military veterans. Some veterans qualify for VA nursing home benefits, and wartime veterans or surviving spouses may qualify for the VA pension’s Aid & Attendance benefit. An accredited Veterans Service Officer, such as your county veterans service office, can help you apply at no cost. Call admissions to talk through your situation.
Not Sure Where to Start?

- A current medication list (and medications, if asked)
- Comfortable clothing and shoes, labeled with the resident’s name
